A day in a poet's life
by Raul Moldez

he sits
a wooden chair
and rests his back
on a cushion.

a pen
in his hand
is ready to take down
the dictation
of his thought.

and minutes later
the blank paper
on the table becomes
a kingdom of words.

(Published in HomeLife, July 1998 issue)
