Floating in the air
(in memory of John Denver)
by Raul Moldez

I know I can no longer land
Because I choose to stay in the air
But why don't you believe me?
Really, I am no longer like you
Who can still pilot a jet plane to touchdown
Now till forever, I'll be floating in the air
Alone flying. Alone gliding.

(Published in HomeLife, November 1998 issue)
